Hey everybody! This is Jake and Maggie. Our friend Princess tagged us to post a photo not posted before and tell the story behind it. Since we are only 4 months old and don’t have that many photos to choose from, we asked our Dad to do it for us. So here is the one he picked:
This was taken in the summer of 2001 when the girls were 14 and 11. We were having a good family day at the lake with Lucky. For me this nostalgic image holds the magic of a simpler, more innocent time. A few weeks after this everything began to change. There was 9/11 of course, and in the spring of 2002 my work took me to Mexico for a couple of years while the family stayed home.
Because of some issues with a troublesome neighbor, for her own protection Lucky went to live with a some friends on a farm in West Virginia. There she had a long and happy life with a family who loved her.
I kept this picture on my desk the whole time I was in Mexico, and I still have it on my desk to this day. Of all the pictures I have taken of my girls over the years, this one is my favorite.

Wow, that must have been rough being in Mexico while your family was back home, not to mention having to give up your dog. 😦
That is a good picture. Sure it brings you lots of memories!
Kisses and hugs

Good picture and glad to have a reminder of happier times. Keep them in your heart always!
