Swimming, and a hike

Today Maggie and I went to the state park with Mom, Dad and Savannah. Shoot, even old Jingle Bells went with us. We went swimming for a while and we fetched the tennis balls. Man, that was FUN! Maggie couldn’t do it as good as I could, so she would hang back, and after I got the ball she would try to steal it from me. She would push my head under the water to make me let go of the ball. She is just a little bit sneaky, I think.

We didn’t swim for too long because there was a man sitting nearby fishing, and Dad was worried that we would scare all the fish away. So after a bit we went on a walk along a dirt road through the woods. I have never in my life smelled so many INTERESTING and FASCINATING smells, y’all! There must be all kinds of crazy critters living out in the woods.

Mom didn’t let Jingle Bells play with us and she yelled at us each time we tried to play with her.  I think it is  because Jingles is so OLD and COUGHS and HACKS when she plays too much.  Its too bad, cause it would be fun to swim with her.

On the way home Maggie stuck her head out of Stinky’s window and her tongue slobbered all over the side of the car.  But I don’t think Dad minded because, just between you and me, that Stinky is a piece of junk!
